New Zealand Travel Guide

New Zealand is located in the southern hemisphere directly east of Australia.  It is a fabulous place to visit in our wintertime, as it is their summertime.

The country is comprised of two large islands: the North Island and the South Island.  The North Island has a Mediterranean climate with palm trees and white sandy beaches.  The South Island has huge mountains and is much cooler.

The capital city, Wellington, is located at the south end of the North Island.  Auckland, the largest city, is located at the north end of the North Island.
